I work one-on-one with my clients enabling them to make healthier food and exercise choices. We can eat all the vegetables in the world, but if we are unhappy and stressed in our life, the body will never give us the results we desire. I believe that the body gives us all the signs we need to map out our ideal life; we just need to learn to listen.

Retreat Features:

Paola’s classes are designed to offer two distinctive experiences; one to energize and motivate you in the morning, and another to restore and calm your body and mind in the evening. Start your day with a heart-pumping Cardio Pilates session, and end it with a restorative class that tones and strengthens your body. Throughout the five-day program, Paola’s Pilates classes will help you to tone, lengthen, and strengthen your muscles, while also providing the right motivation to get back into shape, both mentally and physically. You will have the opportunity to train in the middle of nature, in the beautiful pavilion of the castle, where you’ll feel refreshed and recharged.

Indulge in ultimate relaxation at Acquadegna Spa. Inspired by Roman Thermal Baths, the SPA proposes the THERMARIUM (33°C) – hydro-massage pool 30 sq.m. with neck shower and chaise longue – and the so-called “Roman Baths” composed by TEPIDARIUM (37°C), CALIDARIUM (44°C), and the cold falls of FRIGIDARIUM (12°C).

The menu curated by Paola and the chef is truly a highlight of the retreat. They use only local, fresh produce from Umbria, carefully selected to provide nourishing and delicious meals. Guests can enjoy dishes that are both healthy and flavourful, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and Italian cuisine.

Hiking is also a key component of the retreat, allowing guests to experience the beauty of the surrounding area firsthand. The castle is situated in a strategic position from which it is possible to explore the nearby villages and scenic routes on foot. Narni, is one of our destination. This pictoresque town offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valley, Nera Rivera, breathtaking hiking trails and charming medieval streets. This historical town boasts must-see attractions such as the Roman ruins, Gothic-Romanesque cathedral, medieval fortress, and underground tunnels, perfect for hikers and history enthusiasts. Lace up your boots and explore Narni’s natural beauty whilst wandering through its magnificent landmarks.

As part of our exclusive package retreat, guests will have the opportunity to explore this enchanting town with a guided tour led by a knowledgeable local expert. From uncovering hidden gems to experiencing the town’s vibrant  markets, our Todi excursion promises to be a truly unforgettable experience.
  • Shopping: Todi has a vibrant market scene and explore the shops; Todi has many independent shops that sell unique products, from handmade ceramics to artisanal chocolates. We will take a stroll down Via Cavour or Via Ciuffelli to discover some hidden gems.
  •  Olive Oil: Stock up on olive oil: Umbria is known for its high-quality olive oil, and Todi is no exception.
  • Local crafts: Todi has a rich history of art and craftsmanship. Visit the Church of San Fortunato to see local artisans at work, or check out the Tiberina Todi Ceramics Museum to learn about the town’s ceramics traditions.

I met Paola almost 2 years in a Pilates Studio in London, where she was teaching Pilates. Her classes were amazing and I could really see changes in my figure. During lockdown I joined Shapes so I can do Paola’s workouts from the comfort of my home. I started the health coaching with Paola in June, after a period of emotional eating and unhealthy food choices, in order to change my habits towards healthy living. My top goals were to practice mindful eating, improve my confidence and awareness and have a strong and lean body figure. Through her guidance, advice, continuous support and encouragement I have been able to find freedom, comfort and enjoyment in eating healthy, whole foods,without feeling guilty about having the occasional treat. Paola’s holistic approach to health and wellness has helped me become more energetic and flourish in all aspects of my life. She is also gave me great suggestion about things that I can add in my diet in order to have more variety in my meals and healthy recipes. Following the 80/20 nutrition is a way of living for me and I feel confident I will maintain the changes that I’ve achieved so far. Working with Paola has been life changing for me!


Having come out of a relationship I felt that I was slightly ‘lost’ in terms of where I was going with both my career and personal life, hence why I got in touch with Paola having always felt very inspired after her Pilates classes. I met Paola about a year ago. I met her at a time when my lifestyle was not healthy resulting in being overweight, out of shape which did not make me feel good about myself. We started doing private sessions as I had a serious dislike to gyms and public training spaces. She was very astute  in recognising this and was able to make the sessions exciting and variable and I kept going back. Deep down I did not think I will see results but I kept going back because I felt wonderful after each session. I would walk out tall and felt much better within.
